Glad to see someone else liked this movie. I saw it when I was 14, even after being slightly bothered that Freddy Kreuger played my beloved Phantom (I have been a huge fan of PotO since I was 6). This has quickly become my favorite version of the movie, capturing more of the relationship between the Phantom and Christine than even the original novel did.

If you're interested, RE is scheduled to be at the Walk of Fame at Dragon*Con, Labor Day weekend 2008.

I agree with your review quite a bit. I liked the idea that the movie portrayed Hancock as human. What I mean by this is that he has his own problems that he has to get over. Too many Superheroes seem too perfect and they really have no flaws. Overall I gave Hancock a 3.5 out of five (I use the half star scale). The movie was good but not great in my opinion. I thought the movie suffered from trying to do to many things in one movie. There are comedy, action, superhero, drama, and even a little romance elements in this movie. That is way too many genres for a movie. If they would have only focused on two or three genres I think the movie could have focused on those elements more and the movie could have been truly special. Despite this fact I still enjoyed the movie and I would recommend it to anyone that thinks the premise of the movie sounds interesting.

I would warn parents of smaller children that there is a decent amount of swearing in this movie so if this concerns you, you probably shouldn't take you kids to see Hancock.
