Sorry, but this movie is CRAP. There where so many things wrong to start off with. I am an Avatar- The last airbender fan. I have nothing against the actors but I blame it on the director.

1. Aang’s name was pronounced as ONG in the movie. What a disappointment!!! What a fxxxking BOLLYWOOD move… how about Bolex instead of Rolex!! Dumb Axx… This is a knockoff!!

2. Special effects sucked.

3. 3-D Verison sucked big time. Where was the 3-D? Honesty, I found the previews and commercials had more 3-D effects then the stupid movie.

4. The fight scenes was cheesy and lame. There was no action or no sense that will make you feel like DAMN! THIS SHIT IS AWESOME!.

5. The movie didn’t go into very detail of the land, the people, and into the rich asian background that made the show.

Again, another disgraced movie of the Asian culture. Sorry to say, this doesn’t even come close to as good as the Karate Kid.

6. The test in the beginning of the movie, when Aang got caught, contradicted the whole movie. Aang was able to control/bend the other elements but later was told he can not bend the other elements. Not enough emphasis went into the story line to clarify it. Personally that shows poor story line.

I just thought I’d add this comment.

These are the comments from the the black guys that sat behind me, ‘ where was the black characters? Oh wait, it was one monk who died 100 yrs ago. Darn, he died even before the movie started.’

DO NOT WATCH IT !!!!!!!!

Worst movie we’ve seen all year. They mispronounced some of the character names, special effects in the fight scenes were delayed (fire attacks), poor casting, predictable dialogue, and poor writing. Sad. It’s an awesome cartoon. This movie is horrible. We also have people we know that saw it in 3D. The audience actually booed at the end. In our theater, the audience groaned when it got to the end and left immediately. No one stuck around to read the credits. Sad – it doesn’t do the series justice.

This was the worst movie I’ve seen all year.

The story was muddled by Shyamalan into some sort of hideous abomination and then acted out by the worst actors imaginable. The only performances worth mentioning were those by Dev Patel and Shaun Toub as Zuko and Iroh. By the end of the film I found myself rooting for them more than the main protagonists.

If the story interests you, I’d highly recommend watching the cartoon series.

The Last Airbender was one of my favorite cartoons when i was growing up.
So far I’m not disappointed with what I’ve seen. I’m going to watch the movie this weekend in 3-D and I’m looking forward to it despite all the bad critiques that the multi-million dollar production has received.

In addition, I’m also looking forward to watch this film that will come out this fall.
The Incubus is the story of a different kind of vampires who are taking over this small town.
