Inside Deep Throat

Rated: NC-17 Running Time: 92 minutes Year: 2005 It is different when it is about learning. Inside Deep Throat is a documentary about Deep Throat, the 1972 porno, that stirred up a hornet's nest of obscenity cases, arrests, theater shut downs and hundreds of articles and news reports. Over time Deep Throat has made over $600 million and is the most profatable movie ever made. This is the story of that movie. This doc is a behind the music of the porn industry. It does not offer more than a re-telling of the story, and what happened in those years. It had interviws with those involved, the actor, actress, director, distributors, and crew. It records and repeats the stories around the movie and how it came to be, with some flasy cuts and odd characters in the mix. It allows us to learn and know what happened, and that is about it. While it does do this well, it doesn't stretch at all. It was short and and felt there could have been more but couldn't get that much deeper into it. It showed the scenes in deep throat that were the issue of such contreversy back then. And lots of nuditiy, but this movie only gets an NC-17 rating. Is it becuase we are learning about these scenes, not using them for stimulation or whatever the reason would be to watch the original? I don't quite understand the difference and how this got such a rating. I found that to be an insteresting part of the movie, it was covering obsenity and the courts attacking this movie, but the documentary showing the same scenes, was not attacked and was released in the theaters, with no restrictions. Except the NC-17 rating. Either way. It isn't bad, isn't great, a nice little piece that tells you what happened without much more to it. Check it out if you like the pr0n.
