Failure To Launch

Rated: PG-13 Running Time: 97 Minutes Year: 2006 Boobs: Zero One Sentence: Why didn't anyone tell me Zooey was in this movie? Of all the format generated romantic comedies in the world, this is absolutely, positively one of them. But I am happy to report, that is was one of the better ones. It was a good blend of guy and girl still to keep both parties interested throughout the movie. Kept us laughing as well. It really stuck to the format however, meet somehow, fall in love but don't really express feelings, misunderstanding, and then the climax. I guess it would be nice to see something outside of that format, but when you are the #1 movie in America, why fuck with a good thing. So the cast was fun too. Terry Bradshaw I thought did quite well for you know being a football guy and all. Matt was fun, using his pretty boy smile to carry him, and that sly witty charm thing that seems to be so hot right now. Sarah was out of her element, not worrying about shoes or cosmos, but she was fine. I just didn't feel that she really is a love interest character. But much to my surprise, and a happy surprise at that, the sexy and weird Zooey Deschanel was in it! YAY! I have a thing for her and I am not sure why, I think it is her deadpan attitude, and big eyes that do it for me. She was quite funny in this movie and I guess kinda naked through some trees, not that you could see anything, but she was still funny. Making a cameo was The Daily Show's Rob Courdry. He was solid too, for his short appearance. So yea, good date movie, hit it up, it was funny and cute and not terrible in any way. Rentable or in the theater if your looking for a date movie. 000043hh
