One Sentence:  You have to pursue it.

An inspirational movie about a man trying hard to make it in the world, beat out the dragon riders for #1 movie. Maybe it was Will Smith that was the draw, or maybe it was the trailer, but I would have picked this movie over the dragon movie any day.  I think I made the right choice.

The movie inspires as it should, and seems to show the truth.  Something I wish I would see more of.   The decisions were hard, the risks were huge and the faith in those choices made you go on.  This movie shows what is real and that nothing is handed to you.  The pursuit is what you must do, in order to get whatever you want.  You have to fight your way every step and if you let up or get lazy, or tired, you are not gonna make it.  I believed in this movie, and I liked it.

Will Smith as usual did an excellent job.  His nomination for a Globe is well deserved.  Thandie Newton was fine, she was evil and I think she was supposed to be.  Everyone else in the movie was fine, but I think I saw Tyler, from the Amazing race, playing a hippie in one scene.  That was fun.  Anyway, I would say rental, I do not think you need to see it right before Christmas in the theater, unless you have a hard on for Will Smith.  But rent it for sure.

I really liked this movie! I loved the message it was trying to get across, and Will Smith’s son was just incredible! True, I could have waited until after Christmas to see it – it’s a little depressing – but I’m glad we chose this over Eragon.

  • From what I have heard Eragon is just no good, but we will rent it most likely.
