One Sentence: I have learned spies are boring.
We soldier on in our spy week. This time Chris Cooper and Ryan Phillippe are playing the spy game in Breech. A story based on actual events about the biggest breach of American Security. It sounds good. It has the potential to be interesting, but seems to have not really delivered that spy movie we are hoping for. I guess it was too real these last two spy movies. Real is boring especially when we are talking about our government.
The movie played out as a luke warm thriller with some relationship drama thrown in for filler. No where are we treated with an amazing Chris Cooper performance or an action sequence of any kind. There was a lot of bad florescent lighting, and an office, with 2 rooms. There was some elementes about computer work, but no computers were ever on.
I suspect this movie might have been a little too real. Where there was a lot of planning over little details that ended up with the delivering of a document or the answering of a phone call. Truly movie worthy elements, that make viewers ask for more. It wasn't bad, and I wasn't confused, and I could hear the movie, it just wasn't exciting in anyway. I wouldn't rent it, if you were on the fence about it.
