One Sentence: This movie is nothing like Jumper

All I heard about all over the internets, is this looks just like Jumper.  This is going to suck as much as Jumper, and anything else related to Jumper.  I guess after I saw the previews I had a little bit of that same feeling, hiding deep inside.  I didn't let it stop me however from going to check out Push tonight.  I am glad to report this movie is nothing like Jumper, and I mean that in a very good way.  Push is everything that Jumper never could have been.

Color, style, and a whole lot of story, really make this movie happen.  The director, or art director loved color and that is what started this movie off in the right direction.  Everything from the background color to little drawings made this movie pop all over the place.  Dakota Fannings clothes, the places they were, and the way the city lived around the story helped keep this movie from not just being some poorly made action movie, which it was not.  It was just a little bit of extra icing on the cake that this movie came out to be.

A really big, slightly murky story, kept the movie going.  Traces of super heroes, government projects, nazi's and lost parents drive the story, and while it all sounds like a lot of sillyness, it ended up making for quite a convincing live action comic book, with very little that I think was "too much".  I would say this is not the best movie I have seen, but it sure did deliver, and I am not regretting my 7 bucks spent right now.  I think you would be happy dropping your cash on this one at the theater this weekend, and I have not said that in a while.  So check it out or add it to the queue, I know you were feeling guilty thinking about seeing it, now you don't have to.
