Forgetting Sarah Marshall was my favorite movie of 2008, and in it was a character named Aldous Snow.  That character got his own new movie, spin off style in Get Him To The Greek.  Directed by the same director, and produced by Judd Apatow, Greek fits nicely in between some of the great movies this collective group of movie makers have made in the last 5 years.

This movie is a solid rated R comedy with that nice little life lesson thing these guys seem to do so well.  The comedy is natural, real and very funny for the most part. There were a few things that were a bit more over the top than the previous movies, but nothing that seems totally out of place.  From the opening to the ending of the movie I was laughing and had a great time with Get Him To The Greek.   I know some people don't like Russell Brand, but I thought he delivered a great character in Aldous Snow.  The movie delivered a lot more in comedy and story than I think the trailers show, and I think a lot of people will be pleasantly surprised.

So I think if you are picking a movie this weekend and you read my previous review for Splice the choice would be simple this weekend.  This movie is good enough for you to pay for your tickets in the theater, so have a good June weekend at the movies with Get Him To The Greek.
