Resident Evil: Afterlife Movie Review

Resident Evil Movie Review Poster

One Sentence: Another crappy video game movie.

Running Time: 97 Minutes

Release Date:  10-Sep-2010

Nudity: None

I am hopeful, or I at least try to be, but it gets very hard.  I love Milla, I appreciate everything she does regardless of how bad it is.  I think she is a trooper and really works hard for what she has, but that still doesn't mean that I don't get worn down with the crap she is in.  Resident Evil: Afterlife is our current example of that crap.  There was a guy who wore sunglasses during the whole movie.  Indoors, commanding troops, fighting, in sunglasses.  This is the level of lame 13 year old crap this movie was.  Bullet time shots in 3-D which didn't look good, and a guy in sunglasses.  It really was just awful.  Every single thing about this movie was awful.

There was nothing resembling a quality movie in any way.  For a rated R movie it was very tame, barely pushing into rated R territory for blood or gore.  There was no character development, no story line, I think there might have been some sort of story built over the 4 movies but it has gotten so ridiculous that I can't even put it together anymore. The acting was horrible for all people involved, and the big one, where they were saying how amazing the 3-D was, I generally didn't notice.   I really don't know who this movie is supposed to be for.  I can't really see anyone being happy they saw this movie and if you paid for it, like me, it especially stings.  Everyone can skip this movie.  Sorry Milla.
