There was an interesting opening to this movie.  It was a special effects shot that was well done and really painted a good picture of what happened.  It seemed real and is one of the reasons I wanted to see this movie originally.  After that scene ended, the next interesting thing happened an hour later.  This is where I felt like the story was going somewhere, it took a turn toward something happening, then it took another hour for it to wrap up.  In between those points, not much going on worth watching.

Hereafter was a slow, sad, boring movie that could have done with a lot of editing, and a lot of updates to the script.  Or it could have done with never being made.  It was hard to watch, because it deals with death and is a sad movie, but also it just felt like it drug on and on with nothing happening forever.  I am falling asleep now thinking about it.  When will something happen, please make something interesting happen.  What another hour?  How is this movie not over yet.

I can not say that anyone needs to see this movie.  This is not a renter, or a catch on HBO later.  I can not think of anyone this movie is made for.  It is just a total bore, and a waste of everyone's time.  Skip it.

This intelligent & brave movie seems to be getting the bird.

OK, I did find it lacked focus/punch/not sure what, but at least it’s going in the right direction and you’ve got to give that a plus.

I had 2 OB (not ND) experiences over 20 years ago that profoundly affected my life (Hey! I am NOT this body!!)

More recently in the last 2 yrs I’ve had 2 NDE that just confirm that the essence of this film is right on. Death is as wonderful, as natural, as birth. It goes on. And on. And on

I admire Clint for going out of the box on this; he went out on a limb. Good one buddy! Ian [email protected] Relevant, non abusive emails welcome.
