As I have murdered most of the English language at The-reviewer.net, Brian Leaf, word genius and all around wonderful author decided I might need a little help. So he is sending me a copy of his newest book Name That Movie! A Painless Vocabulary Builder. Not only is he sending me a book but he is going to send one to one of you lucky readers! All you have to do is comment below with your favorite word used in a movie and the line that it was used in. If you want to get fancy on us, drop the definition of the word as well, but that is not required. On Friday Dec 17th, I will use Random.org to pick a random number and you will be our winner! Just so you know my favorite word is superfluous used in Pirates Of The Caribbean.
"Jack Sparrow: It's a fine goal, to be sure. But it seems to me… that a ship like that one, makes this one here seem a bit superfluous, really."
You can find quotes, definitions, and usage all in Brian Leaf's new book, Name That Movie! A Painless Vocabulary Builder, If you can't wait to see if you have won, or if you just want to buy one anyway, you can check out www.BrianLeaf.com for a sample chapter of his book, and check out all the other books he has written. I probably would of done a lot better on my SAT's and ACT's if I had this book 15 years ago! More about Name That Movie! below.
