I Am Number Four Movie Review

I Am Number Four Movie Review Poster

One Sentence: I don't care what number you are.

Rated: PG-13

Release Date: 17-Feb-2011

Nudity: None

I remember seeing the trailer for this movie a long time ago, and when the name came up people laughed out loud in the theater.  I wish I could say the movie experience was at least as comical as that moment, but it was not funny or fun in any way.  I Am Number Four is like an episode of The Hills meets an episode of Buffy with every comic book cliche thrown in to dumb it down to the lowest level possible.  I didn't feel like this was an original story at all, I just felt like it was a piece of every famous comic book story in history and acted out by a square jawed teen and his free spirit camera toting girl friend.

Holy crap this movie just piled on the crap, along with a 20 dollar budget for costumes for the bad guys it really felt like a show the CW should be playing on Thursday night prime time.  This movie was made with a hanging ending to imply a sequel but coming out mid-February I think everyone knows that is not going to happen.  Remember that dragon movie that was supposed to be three parts, Eragon or something, yea, I Am Number Four is 2011's Eragon.

I think it goes without saying that you can skip this movie completely, it is not worth anyone's time. This is not even a rental.  You can stay away from this one and not even question if you are missing anything, save your money and time.
