Source Code Movie Review Poster

One Sentence: Sometimes that 8 minutes seemed like an hour.

Rated: PG-13

Release Date: 01-Apr-2011

Nudity: None

I am sitting here thinking about what to write about Source Code. I know I want to say I liked it, I thought it was fun, inventive, it felt original and worth seeing. I thought that Jake Gyllenhaal was good in it and Michelle Monaghan can do no wrong in my book. I am thinking I liked the story and the level of sci-fi and action. These were all good things, but I can’t figure out a way to write it in a way that is interesting and engaging. The movie was just simply good enough to watch, but wasn’t amazing enough to write something huge and detailed about it.

Train, Bomb, Time Travel, the story mostly worked.

That’s it. What more do you want from me, this is not an Oscar winner but it was fun, everyone I watched it with said they liked it, and I guess that is all I can say. I liked it. I would pay to go see it this weekend. I would rent it. I wouldn’t buy it on DVD. So there you go, my 8 minute review of Source Code.
Source Code Gets 3 Stars

  • Wow, this is a smart critique! You know, among all the reviews I’ve read about Source Code, the common positive thing was that director Duncan Jones did a great job in telling the story. Actually, I made the same remark in my own Source Code movie review. Will you please check it out? Thanks!
