If I wasn’t a loyal dedicated movie critic, that writes for all of you out there I would of never gone to see this movie. If I wasn’t a critic and I was offered this movie without waiting in line, I would of passed it off to a friend. The previews for this movie look so bad. It really deflated my drive to the theater to see Delivery Man. I am happy to say that it was far better than the previews have shown.
It will not change your life, but I think on a family trip to the movies for Thanksgiving, this would be a good choice. It has a few adult jokes, but for the most part is pretty tame, and it delivers a sweet message at the end. It wasn’t exactly funny, it was a comedy, in the sense of being light-hearted and having jokes, but not hilarious.
It was a nice change for Vince Vaughn which really felt like he has been piling up the crap lately. This is a passable movie and he actually does a solid job in it. Chris Pratt actually does a very good job and delivers most of the laughs in this movie. I think without him this movie could of been a dud. So I think you will have a semi-good time with this one over the holiday trying to spend time with your family without actually talking to them.
