The Spongebob Squarepants Movie

Rated: PG Running Time: 90 Minutes Year: 2004 Boobs: Zero I do not watch Spongbob, on Nick. I am not a regular watcher of it, I have seen it a few times and I have laughed watching the show, but I am not like a fanboy or anything. But with a movie that promises more absorbition, and David Hasselhoff, well you know it has to be something worth watching. It also have the voice work of [tag]Scarlett Johansson, Alec Baldwin[/tag], and Jeffrey Tambor. They seemed to spend some money on it. I was into it. It opened up with a dancing pairate number, on the high seas. The pirates were singing the Spongebob theme, and could have been worth the rental right there. This wasn't animated pirates, but REAL pirates. They sang, and danced, and carried on like a pirate would. Then we were sent to Bikini Bottom, to watch Spongebob and his zaney adventrue. The movie and story was ok, very kid based, and did not have very much for adults, like many of these movies do. It had no adult humor that was for parents that kids would not get, it was for kids only. I did laugh some in the movie. It was funny, and cute, but not amazing or perfect for kids and adults. I would rent it if you have kids or are a spongebob fan, but otherwise, I don't think it's a necessary rent.
